With more than 300 certified professionals providing training opportunities to over 30,000 participants Tiger-Rock strives to be the industry leader in research, development, and delivery of martial arts programming.
Tiger-Rock curriculum is a progressive style of martial arts that has been developed over many years of study. Tiger-Rock pledges itself to contributing to the art of Taekwondo, providing leadership and instruction in an ancient discipline that represents an alternative allowing practitioners to avoid the stresses and pitfalls of life in this modern age. This can be accomplished by teaching practitioners to strengthen their minds and bodies through regular Taekwondo training and to impact society honorably. This mission will be undertaken within the guidelines of our tenets: Honor, Courtesy, Integrity, Perseverance, Self-Control, Courage, Community, Strength, Humility, and Knowledge.
The Grand Masters, Senior Masters, Masters, Instructors, and Black Belts Tiger-Rock Martial Arts are grateful to all who have pioneered Taekwondo. In particular we are grateful to Grand Master Won-kuk Lee, General Choi Hong Hi, Grand Master Haeng Ung Lee, Dr. He-Young Kimm, Grand Master Art Monroe, Grand Master Craig Kollars, and Grand Master Bert Kollars. Tiger-Rock recognizes their contribution. Artistically, we know that our curriculum, vision, systems and physical movements are unique. We believe separate, mutually respectful, authentic styles of Taekwondo artists help preserve the diversity and original artistic nature of Taekwondo. Tiger-Rock believes all martial arts programs and martial artists that commit to authentic training and lifestyle have merit.
We focus on perfecting the techniques rather than just memorizing moves for testing then moving on to simply memorize more moves. We use life skills and our taekwondo tenets to help guide our students on the right road of moral behavior, to be leaders and example to other member of our society. We also make sure that our students can defend themselves.
Our curriculum gives the students access to lots of exciting, effective training that enables them to develop into more well-rounded martial artists. And in today’s world people want information fast with progress to match, it’s important that we deliver our curriculum in this style for maximum retention and results, importantly without reducing or sacrificing standards.
Of course everyone wants their black belt, but in the end, it’s just a piece of fabric that holds your uniform together. The literal blood, sweat, and tears that are shed along the way are far more valuable. The years of work that are put into learning your art are ultimately what you remember. Take each day as it comes and focus on the little goals— the grand achievements will come with time and experience.
